　　中国石油大学(华东)图书馆始建于1953年，当时是北京石油学院图书馆，在清华大学石油工程系图书资料室的基础上建立。迁校山东后，先后于1980年、1997年两次在东营建馆，2004年在青岛建成本馆。馆藏纸质图书文献282万册，中外文纸质期刊2100种，电子图书571万种，电子期刊3.6万种，数据库110个，电子文献资源总量60TB(截至2015年)。

　　本馆建有3个书库和5个阅览室，阅览区、研读区、休读区拥有座位资源3880余个，实行以读者为中心的藏、借、阅、咨询一体化的服务模式。本馆为读者提供书刊借阅、资源查询、科技项目查新、馆际互借与文献传递、用户培训、电子阅览等服务，是学校教学科研最重要的公共服务体系之一。

　　中国石油大学(华东)图书馆将进一步加强资源建设，强化优质服务，强化阅读环境、人文环境和学术环境建设，把图书馆建成“成长成才成功的摇篮，学生学者学术的家园”。

　　China University of Petroleum Library

　　China University of Petroleum Library was established in 1953. It was the library of Beijing Petroleum Institute at that time, which was founded on the basis of the reference room of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Tsinghua University. After the school's relocation to Shandong Province, the library was rebuilt twice in 1980 and 1997 respectively in Dongying. The library on Qingdao Campus built in 2004. The library has a collection of 2.82 million volumes of printed books, over 2100 kinds of domestic and foreign printed periodicals,5.71 million types of E-books and 36thousand types of E-journals in the library. It also contains 110 databases, the E-resources has reached to 60TB up to 2015.

　　This Library contains 3 book stacks and 5 reading rooms. There are over 3,880 seats in the reading, studying and leisure- reading sections. Its service mode, combining collection, borrowing, reading, and consulting together, is centered on the readers. As one of the most important teaching and research public service systems of the university, the library provides readers with various services of book borrowing, data inquiry, science and technology item inquiry, inter-lending, document delivery, user training, and electronic reading, etc.

　　China University of Petroleum Library will further strengthen the resources construction, improve services, and build excellent reading, humanistic and academic environment so as to become “a cradle of growth and success, and an academic resort for learners and scholars”.
